Picasa Fun

I've been having trouble taking good pictures lately.  Colors are "washed out", and don't accurately depict the paint colors.

I was trying to get a good picture of Dark Angels, Land Raider Crusader, and came up with this instead...

Glowing Skull
I max out the shadow setting, which obviously darkens the colors to the extreme, however it does more accurately show the true colors of the Skull itself.

I need to take time to learn how to use my wife's camera.

Painting Updates:

I'm a bit all over the map... I get a squad 95% done, and start another.  Right now, I nearly have two Dark Angels Tactical Squads completed (including bases).  I'm about 50% done with Deathwing Terminators.

Bikes are primed, Land Raider has base, shadow, highlight, matte varnish, and one almost complete skull.  Debating doing a Lions Head on the other side.

  1. I like the freehand skull! When I take shots sometimes it is good to have a few extra lights to angle to help with taking photos.

  2. It's the camera settings, as the pictures appear as if there is too much light. They look washed out. Even changing the flouro settings doesn't seem to help, as I still have to adjust for the "neutral" level in picasa.

My wife has an amazing camera, and I just need to take the time to learn it :-(
