Cool! They Like It!

So posted some pics on BnC, and people REALLY like my Blood Claws:

This is really cool, as I've only been up to a hobby store once, I'm not really part of the community.  So it's cool when people like you effort you put in.  Heck, it's one of the reasons I started this blog.

I'm really hard on myself, because I choose speed over effort.  My buddies think I do a great job, but honestly.. they're both really good painters and my friends.  I've know both of them since grade school, while they would be honest.. I don't think they would tell me "bro... uhm, these suck".

The two peeps I met at Anthem Styx and Lue.. Styx seems like the diplomatic type (I am too), where you'll never say anything harsh, always try to find something good or just not say anything at all.

Lue,  Brutally honest, if my guys sucked.. He wouldn't hesistate to tell me ;-)

  1. Congrats on getting some great comments on B&C!

As for diplomatic, yea, I could be called that. I am not one to bash someone's head in unless I have to! A habit from GW that teachs me that the best way to help someone improve in the hobby is to encourage. Your a dad, you know that something positive will go futher with a kid than negative. You have some great table quality work that looks great and with what you have told me about colors, very amazing work if you ask me. That is an honest apprisal.

If people want opinions, I am happy to give them. If someone wants to learn something, they just have to ask, I will show you what I know. At GW I learned I was a better teacher than a "doer" if that makes sense. I'd be happy to teach you conversions, pinning, basic putty work, inks, washes, etc....just let me know what interests ya. If I don't know it, I can tell you someone that does.

And, just for the record I have said some armies have sucked. One guy that used to visit this one store, he could not paint worth a flip. His stuff look like he took poster paint, dipped it then shook it off, added the next color with a house paint brush. *shudder*

LMAO! Nice! I consider myself 'diplomatic' as well :-) I just follow that adage 'if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
